Poly, BDSM couple shares, “We both cried a little, stunned speechless. Seeing our relationship captured so perfectly was just so eye opening and moving.”

Sabrina and Skye share an unconventional relationship, being both polyamorous and in the BDSM scene their entire lives.

“Skye and I met via serendipity. We both ran in some of the same kink networks since we came of age and had a lot of mutual friends both online and in person,” says Sabrina, who is an overnight veterinary ER nurse and who refers to her submissive partner as a stay-at-home house pet.

They finally started talking to each other and something clicked at one point in a friend’s Discord and the fates were sealed.

“They (Skye) visited with a partner at some point in 2019 as a layover during traveling, and I wooed them with my cooking. We started seeing each other long distance after Skye wore me down with constant flirting and just being a handsome devil,” Sabrina said.

Skye chimed in, “It was hard not to fall hard, and I was super lucky that she let me pester her into dating me. I’ve gotten to see her flourish and grow with me as she’s become more dominant and taken more control over both of our lives. It’s been a head trip getting to be owned and getting to explore this side of myself with her. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be in her position. I don’t know, I’m just super gay for her and love her so much and am super thankful that she’s such a strong influence on my life. She’s allowed me to feel comfortable in my identity and has given me such safe harbor that I can’t imagine my life without this relationship as a beacon,” Skye revealed.

Ironically, their relationship first began as Sabrina as the bottom and Skye as the top, but their dynamic switched quickly as their relationship became more physical.

“Skye accepted my collar on 1/30/21 and moved in with me at my parents’ place in May of the same year. It’s been a learning experience for both of us – they’re my first collared submissive and I’m their first 24/7 Dominant. I forget how they even ended up with the identity of a puppy (maybe it was an American Gods reference at first, oops), but they’re my pup and enjoy the role in my life,” says Sabrina.

Sabrina and Skye are happy in their relationship and looking forward to getting “vanilla-engaged sometime this year and then married in 2023. They’re currently living at home with Sabrina’s parents while they save money for their own home, and Sabrina admits that that has posed some challenges for them.

“We live at home with my parents while we save money for homeownership, which obviously has a lot of obstacles for both our lifestyle in general and our intimacy. We like to try to get away once or twice a month for a few days to be able to be our true selves,” Sabrina explained.

This is the part of the story where Allebach Photography enters! Sabrina had been following our studio online for years and realized “holy crap, we could do that one day.” A couples boudoir session was the perfect opportunity to get away together and be their true selves!

“Both of us were in love with the looks of everything Mike and Erika have done for other people.”

Sabrina was super anxious, she had been having a ton of bad body dysmorphia leading up to the shoot whereas Skye claimed fearlessness (but had some hang-ups about being masc-coded and perceived as submissive.)

“My anxiety melted away the second Erika said I should put all of the negativity at the door. The longer we were in front of the camera, the less shy I felt about my body and the more confident I felt in the magic behind the camera lens,” Sabrina said, looking back at the day.

The couple had so much fun in what they brought to be photographed in; Sabrina brought her favorite velvet dress, big stompy goth boots, a corset, a whole pile of stockings, and a new pair of lingerie whereas Skye brought a sports jacket and slacks, the tie that matches their House motif, their new Doc Martens, their pup gear, and their collar and cuffs. It all made them feel so completely them as a couple.

For Sabrina, her favorite part of the day was the airy, playful atmosphere for the outfits and set; for Skye it was being attached to the St. Andrew’s Cross.

Not only did they have a ton of fun together, but they were also surprised by how “seen” they felt during the process and how comfortable that felt.

“I felt less anxious towards the concept of being seen as submissive being equal to being seen as ‘lesser,’” said Skye.

Seeing their photos during the big reveal brought tears for the both of them.

“We both cried a little, and Sabrina was stunned speechless. Seeing our relationship captured so perfectly and seeing ourselves as the other sees us was just so eye opening and moving,” Sabrina said.

Since their session, the couple says everything about their relationship is a little bit clearer and a lot deeper. They knew they loved each other deeply, but seeing really is believing.

“When we first talked to Mike when setting up our session, we had wanted to capture Skye’s devotion to me so that I could always have a photographic reminder even on the days when I’m feeling down or not feeling it. It was captured 1000% and so powerfully that just the memory of the image is enough to bring tears to my eyes. We’re definitely looking forward to being able to do this experience again for another anniversary!”
