She Rocked a 20 Year Old Sweatshirt For Her Boudoir Session

Boudoir ideas that are not lingerie, sexy in a sweatshirt, sexy pajamas

Sometimes the best outfit to bring to your session isn’t that sexy lingerie set or teddy you only pull out for special occasions (though Angie brought those too and she looked gorgeous in them). Rather, it’s the stuff we wear in our day-to-day lives, when we’re going out for coffee, that holds special meaning to us and makes us feel most like us.

“A sweatshirt my husband gave me of his about 12 years ago…. the sweatshirt is probably 20 years old. The pics came out so cute and so me!” says Angie of the outfit she wore in some of her favorite photos.

She also packed along a longer, fitted teddy, a sexy piece of lingerie and the shirt the husband wore when they got married, though she admits going into her session she was afraid that she wouldn’t look “sexy enough.”

“I was scared to death! I wasn’t worried about Mike and Erika’s skills but more so if I thought I was able to pull off boudoir photos,” she said.

True to form, however, once Angie was glammed up Mike and Erika worked their magic on her, coaching and guiding her through all the poses to not only create that perfect combination of both sexiness and realness in her photos, but to make her feel beautiful and confident as well.

During the reveal she found herself pleasantly shocked that in spite of her nerves, she ended up with so many photos she was in love with.

“I told myself I wasn’t going to cry during the reveal. But about seven photos in, I lost it. I have never looked at a photo of myself the way I did that day.”

Angie chose a 10 inch by 10 inch album to share with her husband and to serve as a reminder of the day she conquered her own fears.

“I walked out of the session feeling more confident and empowered than I ever have felt in my life! I knew Mike and Erika would coach me through it. I didn’t know I would leave feeling like a total bad ass!” she shared with us.

Angie works full time in ER registration on top of being a wife and mother. She and her husband have been married for over 10 years and have an 18-year-old daughter, a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. When she’s not busy with work or family, Angie enjoys feeding her backyard squirrels and deer.
