After seeing her photos from her solo boudoir session, Tammy cried the whole way home.
“I SAW THE LITTLE GIRL THAT OVER CAME A LIFE SHE WAS DEALT. I saw a women that could finally fly her own way through life and had it all. I felt so peaceful, free and beautiful,” she shared with us.
Tammy is a 44-year-old married mother of three children (a daughter and two sons), and only one year older than the age her stepfather was when he passed away suddenly from a heroin overdose.
“Growing up I moved every year of my life. My mother and stepfather were drug addicts and alcoholics; they could never keep a stable home. I shuffled around to family members, friends and foster homes became my normal until I decided to run away to live with friends. In the meantime I graduated high school after dropping out for a bit, losing my stepfather from a heroin overdose. He was 43,” she said.
One home finally became her home.
“They are my world and I wouldn’t know where my path would’ve taken me without them,” she said.
Tammy’s new family, of whom she moved in with at 16 and was adopted by at the age of 35, helped her search for her biological father when she was 18.
“He was a recovering drug addict but relapsed a few time before he passed in 2019. He really was a great man,” says Tammy.
Tammy’s relationship with her biological mother, however, was a different story; she had been estranged from her birth mother since she ran away at the age of 14. Her mother continued to use drugs and alcohol until her death this past May.
Though it was difficult losing her mother, Tammy says she immediately felt a great weight lift off her shoulders.
“Once my biological mother passed I felt like it was finally a new chapter, a weight lifted, the past was finally the PAST! What was dealt to me was now all mine, although it had already been mine, I finally could feel it, if that makes sense,” she explained.
Tammy found out about Allebach through a friend, she’d seen her boudoir photos and knew she wanted to do her own when she was ready.
“I decided to get these photos done because I had finally gotten to a place in my life where I felt powerful. I feel beautiful, strong, felt I finally could breathe from where I came from as a child. I could see the women other people saw. My strength was finally glowing.”
Tammy brought several Venus bodysuits, which she loves and looked smokin’ hot in.
“My session was more than what I expected. I can still feel the power. Everyone should feel this was about themselves. The day…breathtaking. I felt like I was on top of the world, kind of still do!” she said about her session.
Tammy chose a photo album and hopes to pass it on to her daughter someday as a reminder of what it feels like to be a strong and confident woman.
“It keeps it personal but can tell a story. Something my daughter can keep to feel my confidence,” she said of her album.
Though Tammy initially felt nervous about showing some skin in front of people she’d just met, she quickly grew comfortable and that’s just one of the reasons she recommends Allebach Photography to others.
“I have suggested Allebach because of the comfort I felt, I didn’t feel like the next client…I felt all the feelings. I walked out feeling like I was now part of their family.”
She continued, “Do it!! But when you’re ready, and to have your reason. Feel confident!! Know we are all our own, don’t compare or beat yourself down. You won’t regret it!”
To the team she said, “Thank you for your talent, thank you for making me feel. Thank you for capturing my beauty. Thank you for lifting me to a place where I feel all the ways I should have always felt; beautiful, strong and powerful!”
