Ah the age old question around the studio – when you give the gift of boudoir to a loved one, who is it really for? Real answer? BOTH of you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Embark<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m gifting pics to him but truth be told this was for me,\u201d said Devon, who\u2019s surprising her husband with an album for Christmas from her recent solo session with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Devon and her husband have been together since their freshman year of college (24 years) and have been married for 17 of those. Together, they have two beautiful girls and while Devon admits that while their children are their whole world, between work, kids, practices and games, it\u2019s been easy to overlook not only their own relationship, but their individual needs as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Solo<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLife is so busy and I definitely got stuck in a rut. I wanted to do something for myself fresh off my 42nd birthday,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is so far out of my comfort zone. I don\u2019t love being the center of attention and have no clue how to accept a compliment,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Confidence-Boosting<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Devon realized that a solo boudoir session was the perfect opportunity to give herself that space to do something out of her day to day norm, while also treating her husband to something special. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wanted to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone and figured it\u2019s now or never.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Self-Love<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Despite her own insecurities, Devon says her husband is and always has been her biggest hype man. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhether I\u2019m in sweats or actually have a minute to get it together, he is all about it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Devon channeled her husband\u2019s hype for her during her session with us and was immediately surprised by how she felt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t nearly as nervous as I thought I would be. Mike and Erika made me feel so comfortable and I can genuinely say I have no regrets and am beyond happy and proud that I did it,\u201d said Devon, looking back at her day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most powerful part of her day, she said, was her big photo reveal, which left her filled with emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Transformative<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey exceeded my expectations so much and I found myself saying that can\u2019t be me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since her session, Devon has been walking around with an extra bounce in her step and cannot wait to see her husband\u2019s eyes light up when she gives him her images. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have been smiling for the past few days just thinking about the whole experience. I feel more connected to myself again. This was hands down one of the best experiences of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
